Advanced Mill-Turn
Complete solution for high-level multi-spindle turret/ multi-spindle turning and milling machine.
Manually performing CNC programming for complex parts on complex machines or directly on the machine tool controller is not only inefficient and error-prone but also costly.
The modern multi-channel milling and turning CNC aims to maximize productivity by combining milling and turning operations to the greatest extent possible for the workpiece.
You can use SolidCAM to program multi-axis milling-turning machining
Integrated. Easy-to-use. Complete.
Through SolidCAM's user interface, it seamlessly integrates with your SOLIDWORKS or Autodesk Inventor CAD software. You can program milling and turning operations for the main spindle and tool turret, tailstock, steady rest, and other components.
Milling operations also include SolidCAM's unique and patented iMachining technology.
ToolKit | Unlimited Tool Management
The best tool manager in the CAM industry, which allows you to store, assemble, and manage tools and cutting conditions in the machine environment (machine preview) and provides a user-friendly interface.
ToolKit supports any type of face, axial, angular, and multi-tool toolholder, fully meeting the advanced Mill-Turn tooling requirements.
Any component of the tool can be directly imported from the tool manufacturer's online catalog as CAD data without any hassle.
MCO | Machine Control Operations
Through MCO (Machine Control Operation), you can define machine actions that are independent of toolpath, such as turret and spindle movements, clamping/unclamping, coolant operations, etc.
The lathe-mill post-processor comes equipped with pre-prepared standard MCO cycles, which can save you time in part programming. These cycles include minimal user input parameters to execute necessary machine actions. Through MCO, you can program the following operations:
-
Tool change
-
Machine component movement
-
Part transfer
-
Clamping/Unclamping fixture
-
Program tape reader
-
Control of cooling fluid
-
Machine mode
-
Axis and phase synchronization
-
Output any G/M command
Machine Simulation
Through MCO (Machine Control Operation), you can define machine actions independent of toolpath (such as turret and spindle movements, clamping/unclamping of fixtures, cooling fluid, etc.).
Simulated Cycle Time Estimation
Collision Detection
Part transfer: Simulate cutting process
Shortens Cycle Time and Maximum Productivity
An advanced and user-friendly channel synchronization manager that guides you through operations in sequence, shows conflicts, and helps you avoid clashes.
Highly suitable for synchronizing and optimizing all machining operations to achieve maximum production output.
SolidCAM can control an infinite number of channels and supports any number of machine functionalities and cutting modes.
Channel Synchronization Clash Avoidance Feature
The collision avoidance function for channel synchronization disables the generation or simulation of G-code if any conflict problem occurs in the defined synchronization. If enabled, the feature will flag actions that require action and guide you with directional arrows and helpful notes. The system understands the controller logic and checks for synchronization possibilities, taking into account machine kinematics, axis sharing and synchronization wait flag rules.
Superimposition
SolidCAM supports three different overlap modes. Axes can overlap onto other axes, with the tool following the main axis.
For applicable milling-turning machining centers, SolidCAM will automatically detect this mode.
Rotary Axis and Drive Unit Sharing
By using axis sharing and drive unit functionalities, machining time can be reduced, and part processing can be stabilized. Simultaneously, two turning operations can be synchronized on different turrets, under specific conditions, for turning on the same main spindle or synchronizing two milling operations on different turrets, using the same rotary axis.
