SolidCAMMCO Operation

Through MCO (Machine Control Operation), you can define machine actions that are independent of toolpath, such as turret and spindle movements, clamping/unclamping, coolant operations, etc.

The lathe-mill post-processor comes equipped with pre-prepared standard MCO cycles, which can save you time in part programming. These cycles include minimal user input parameters to execute necessary machine actions. Through MCO, you can program the following operations:

  • Tool change

  • Machine component movement

  • Part transfer

  • Clamping/Unclamping fixture

  • Program tape reader

  • Control of cooling fluid

  • Machine mode

  • Axis and phase synchronization

Highly suitable for synchronizing and optimizing all machining operations to achieve maximum production output.

SolidCAM can control an infinite number of channels and supports any number of machine functionalities and cutting modes.

Channel Synchronization Clash Avoidance Feature

The collision avoidance function for channel synchronization disables the generation or simulation of G-code if any conflict problem occurs in the defined synchronization. If enabled, the feature will flag actions that require action and guide you with directional arrows and helpful notes. The system understands the controller logic and checks for synchronization possibilities, taking into account machine kinematics, axis sharing and synchronization wait flag rules.


SolidCAM supports three different overlap modes. Axes can overlap onto other axes, with the tool following the main axis.


For applicable milling-turning machining centers, SolidCAM will automatically detect this mode.

Rotary Axis and Drive Unit Sharing

By using axis sharing and drive unit functionalities, machining time can be reduced, and part processing can be stabilized. Simultaneously, two turning operations can be synchronized on different turrets, under specific conditions, for turning on the same main spindle or synchronizing two milling operations on different turrets, using the same rotary axis.
